This solid Plastic shin guard is form fitted to your leg. It offers the maximum protection possible for your entire shin. The outside is a hard shell with ventilation holes. Inside, against your shin is a softer, spongy foam layer. For comfort you will want to wear a thin pair of cotton liner socks between your leg and this pad. The illustration above shows blue foam beneath the hard outer, white shell. The interior foam is black. Measure from the ankle joint where your foot and leg are connected, up to the highest part of your shin you want to protect. Some players like to cover their shins up to an inch below their knee caps. Below are the measurements of each size Ortho pad, measured from bottom of the ankle protector, up to the top of the pad. This is the longest, overall dimension, of the Ortho pad. THIS IS NOT A MEASUREMENT OF THE SHIN.
